Kremser-Kapelle - Unterbergla

5/5

The newly renovated Kremser-Kapelle was blessed by Pastor Mag. Anton Rindler. Many residents from Unterbergla and the surrounding area took part in the celebration. The village band of Unterbergla musically framed the blessing.
The chapel had come into disrepair in recent decades. The roof was damaged, the outside facade and the forecourt with the benches were no longer inviting.
In 2016 it was decided to renovate the Chapel and the forecourt for it to become an attractive and intimate place to reflect or pray.
In autumn 2016 the roof and the outer wooden cladding were replaced. Spring 2017 saw new ceiling panelling and a new forecourt with concrete slabs and the outside and inside were re-decorated.
A number of benefactors supported the project either financially, with donations in kind or physical help during the renovation.
The Schwarz family took on the financing of the roof.
The necessary wood was provided by carpenters Erwin Wieser.
Mr. Repolusk carved and donated the Crucifix.
Edith Krasser restored the existing beautiful statue of Mary and Rosa Fruschuß financed the materials for this.
The immediate neighbour of the chapel, Mr. Egon Trummer, renewed the benches.
Pastor Mag. Anton Rindler provided the generous donations of the Easter Food Blessings of 2016 and 2017.
The nearby market town of Groß Sankt Florian also contributed a considerable amount.
Overseeing construction and design was the Chapel Roof specialist Alfred Achatz.
Anton Brunner, Anton Lenz, Josef Puff, Johann Gstarz, Arnold Preißl, Herbert Fürnschuss, Ing. Franz Joebstl, as well as Roswitha
Achatz, Rosa Fruschuß and Margarethe Joebstl were all hands on active .
Their efforts have created a beautiful place in the centre of Unterbergla where present and future residents, passing motorists and walkers can pause for rest and thought and where Easter Food Blessings can be given.
